Biography
Quang Nguyen embarked on his martial arts journey in 2018, inspired by his son Kylan, who was five at the time. Specializing in Taekwondo, Quang has risen to the rank of second degree recommended black belt.
Quang joined Taekwondo alongside his wife and son as an activity the family could do together. The decision to make martial arts a family affair has not only strengthened their familial ties but has also become a source of shared joy and fulfillment.
Quang finds satisfaction in teaching, particularly when seeing the positive impact of martial arts on people’s lives. He takes pride in observing children who initially joined at their parents’ request but transformed into more mature and disciplined individuals through the practice of the five tenets of Taekwondo. Recognizing the challenges of learning martial arts, Quang credits the guidance and encouragement from the exceptional instructors and mentors at SMA for his rapid skill development. His goal is to pay it forward by becoming a source of inspiration and support for his own students, guiding them to achieve their best.
Beyond the martial arts studio, Quang indulges his love for running and hiking. He has conquered numerous half marathons and summited many fourteeners in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado.
Quang’s journey into Taekwondo started later in life, and he takes pride in encouraging and convincing other parents to embrace martial arts at Swanson’s Martial Arts. He shares his personal experience, proving that it’s never too late to start and progress in Taekwondo, inspiring individuals of all ages to embark on their own martial arts journey.
