Always practice politeness. Show respect for yourself and others in every situation, both in and out of class.
Always choose to do what’s right. Be truthful with yourself and others, whether you’re in class or out in the world.
Always finish what you start. Set clear goals and take deliberate actions to achieve them, both in martial arts and in everyday life.
Always manage your thoughts and actions. Focus on self-improvement, striving to be better today than you were yesterday, both in and out of class.
Always maintain a positive and determined mindset, even in the face of challenges. Be courageous and stand by your principles, both on and off the mat.
Youth and Family Taekwondo
As a parent, you often find yourself pondering the kind of person your child will become. You understand that you won’t always be by their side, and you want them to grow up strong and self-sufficient. It’s clear that you play a crucial role in shaping their development. Your goal is to equip them with the skills they need to thrive and lead a fulfilling life, right?
One great option to consider is enrolling them in martial arts. This experience teaches students the importance of focus, self-belief, and the satisfaction that comes from giving their best effort. Through dedication, they will build the confidence to advocate for themselves when necessary. Your child will also embrace values like setting goals, making wise decisions, persevering through challenges, and always choosing to do what’s right.

Often known as Isang Arnis, Escrima, Kali, or simply solo baston, this stick fighting style emphasizes the use of your dominant hand. Training involves learning to gauge distances in long, middle, and short ranges, and includes techniques such as catching, locking, takedowns, and disarming opponents.
This is commonly called Sinawalis or Doble Baston. Engaging both arms in stick fighting not only enhances flexibility but also builds strength in both limbs. Mastering single stick techniques can lead to situations where you find yourself wielding two sticks. Training with both sticks prepares students to be versatile fighters, ensuring they develop speed and accuracy with both hands, making the most of their practice time.
Training in this area involves the use of training knives that are not sharpened, or for younger students, we may use short sticks to practice techniques. This method is often referred to as Daga sa Daga, or Knife to Knife. The focus here is on effectively using a knife in response to knife attacks.
Known as ManoMano, this aspect of Philippine Combatives provides deeper insights into weapon systems and their relationship to hand-to-hand combat. The training not only builds on your existing hand-to-hand skills but also enhances and strengthens them, creating a more comprehensive fighting approach.
