Sunday December 10th

Testing will be by rank group at SMA. Please arrive 5 minutes before your belt color’s assigned time. We ask that you wait outside for the previous group to leave. Spectators are welcome for testing but please limit your family to a maximum of two spectators. We will also have Zoom available so other friends and family may log in to watch. The zoom number is 8722361018, password is SMA.

Noon – White Belts

1:00 – Yellow and Orange Belts

2:00 – Green and Hight Green Belts

3:00 – Purple and Blue Belts

4:00 – Brown, Red and High Red Belts

6:30 – Annual Awards and Recognition Program at Auld Center

 

Annual Awards and Recognition Program following testing.  Doors open at 6:00 pm, program will begin at 6:30 pm. Snacks and sweets available.  Please bring a sweet to share if you would like. There is no cost to attend but space is limited. Please register through “Events” on MyStudio.

 

Requirements:
ALL BELT RANKS please ensure you have your black stripe on your belt prior to signing up for testing. These will be awarded during the final weeks leading up to testing. The black stripe is the final check that you are ready to test including form, one-steps, sparring (yellow and above) and tenet.

All Advanced Class students (purple, blue, brown, red and red with a stripe) turn in the tenet project sheet prior to the testing day.
Brown belts and above, your boards will be provided on testing day.

Red belts with a stripe also prepare a written essay to answer the question, “What is a Black Belt?” and give to Mr. or Mrs. Swanson prior to testing.
